I recently bought a 35 hp Evinrude Johnson Seahorse outboard. My local Marina engineer advised that the engine oils of today do not need to follow the prescribed ratio of and he says to use ratio. Im very new to this forum as well as outboards so wondering if some of the members here can advise.

Refer to question 5 for information on oil. Most outboards manufactured before need Fishing motors prior to commonly used a ratio. Refer to question 20 for more information about older outboards.
